THe Method: SPecifics
First Session:
I will ask a few questions about your interests, work, life challenges, and more. Also, we will create a list of your strengths and identify at least one realistic goal that will shift your life in a positive direction.
This session is also an opportunity where I welcome all of your questions about my practice, whether or not you feel like we are a good fit for each other, and more!
It is very important to me that you feel like our sessions are a safe space for your healing, and getting to know me is part of that.
Second Session:
We will design a plan tailored to your personality, challenges, and goals. This will look like learning and practicing some of the following, as well as other useful tools:
-
DBT skills. These are scientifically studied ways to tolerate stress, connect with others, and more.

-
Long-lasting habits. Here you will learn how to form habits that feel good, not like a chore every time.

-
Boundaries for beginners and beyond. You'll learn how to set limits, which is essential for healing.

-
Writing and meditation exercise for clarity. This will help you get unstuck out of unpleasant feelings.

-
Taking a quiz to assess flexibility. How resilient are you? Let's see how we can progress there!

-
Addressing intrusive thoughts. You will learn how to create mental distance from those thoughts.

**IMPORTANT! As a rule, if I give you homework to do anything, I do it with you. This ensures that you feel I am walking with and leading you, instead of feeling as though I'm telling you what to do.
